Default I like everything but my call on the river

Reviewing this hand I think I played it wrong on the river, that is one of the folds I should be adding to my game. Villian is a 60/6/1.

Why not bet the turn? I know you've just picked up oesd, but you barely have enough bets in the pots to even draw to that. (ok, you also have an overcard) I would bet and give myself a chance to win it UI on the turn against a passive opponent.

that 9 is a terrible turn, it hits all draws that we were ahead of on flop. we need the free card on the turn

A lot of people peel flops with almost any two in HU blind battles. I fire the turn.

vs. a guy who plays 60% of his hands voluntarily, I think we're even ahead a good portion of the time on the turn even with that 9 falling. We do need the free card, but we don't have position. You are obviously much more experienced than I am jba, but I think against a loose passive type, it's better to bet this turn.
