Can I reformat my Hard Drive if I Don\'t Have Windows CDs?
I bought my computer from eBay and it came with no software disks. It was already installed. I would like to make things run faster by cleaning everything up.

Re: Can I reformat my Hard Drive if I Don\'t Have Windows CDs?
So....you have no means of installing Windows, but yet you want to reformat?
But to answer your question: yes, you can download bootable ISO's to burn that will let you do this sort of thing, or floppy disk images. |

Re: Can I reformat my Hard Drive if I Don\'t Have Windows CDs?
If you don't have the installation CD for Windows this isn't going to help. Unless he really doesn't mean you need the files from the installation CD.
There isn't a legal way for you reformat your HD and reinstall an OS without having a legal copy of that OS. |
