Trip aces with bad kicker in multiway pot
Do you play this hand any other way?
My reads are CO: very agressive pf but very ABC after the flop UTG = calling station, doesn't bet without a good hand (top pair at least) UTG+1 = LAG, likes to gamble a lot, raise about 40% of the time pf. The reraise here means a drawing hand more that a big ace, in fact any big ace or pair, he raises first. Another ipoker player!
Don't know the two villains so can't help with reads. Looks pretty standard to me, I don't really see any value in betting or CR the river. You're OOP against 2ops and a whole lot of bets have gone in. |

Another ipoker player! [/ QUOTE ] Is there a reputation for ipoker players? I play on both ipoker network (CD Poker) and Party. I find ipoker players to be alot weak tighter (currently played over 2K hands at .25/.50 level and am running with a BB/100 of over 8 ! grinding to build a bankroll, as come from a NL MTT background) than Party though. Interested in your thoughts. |

My exclamation was in seeing someone else who plays there (I do) - it's not a network you hear a lot of players talk about (at least not in terms of limit hands). I haven't played at enough site lately to really compare the players but I wouldn't think they were significantly different to anywhere else. |

Re: Trip aces with bad kicker in multiway pot
c/r flop for value especially with multiple players invested. given your read you have the best hand almost always.
Passive play will not win the maximum here - there is a good chance that UTG+1 will realise that he isn't going to take down the pot with his 89s or whatever and give up. having it checked through would suck. - people will call you down with any pair anyways putting you on a lolflushdraw or whatever |

Re: Trip aces with bad kicker in multiway pot
lol. yeah , you're right you dont hear alot about it. I've never seen a post (apart from this thread) with a hand from ipoker.
I'm currently playing .25/.50 on both cd poker and party and am finding the players on party a lot looser and willing to chase that river Ace all the way not matter what! Still more $ for me in the long run!! |

I would have c/r the flop if the button would have folded on he flop but here, i'm not sure i like that play. Also doing so, i clearly tell my hand to the other players, this is why i was thinking about the turn. I will try to be more agressive next time and by the way, nice read on the uTG+1, he had T9s |

When you overcall that gives your hand away as much as raising. Also, giving away your hand shouldn't be a concern in a pot this big. |
