I'm friendly with Thomas and have played with him several times. He took 1100 from me at chinese poker [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]. He plays all the big cash games, but his money doesn't come from poker. He started some company and sold it for a ton of money so now he's uberrich and just plays poker for the fun/stardom in his home country.

He's also the son and heir of an extremely wealthy Finnish businessman who lately sold off all his shares in one of the largest financial institutions in the country, so he's definitely loaded.

I think that he finished 3rd in the WPT Paris event in June. He has also had a bunch of other tournament cashes.

I know nothing about his possible companies, but his father Björn Wahlroos has made a lot of money in banking.

Yeah, his father is one of the richest men in Finland and is the CEO of one of the biggest banks here and owns a sizable portion of that company (Sampo group).
