despite having only 2 starters with an era under 4 and no bullpen aside from joba and rivera? more often than not id say yankee starters last less than 7 innings and joba cant pitch 2 innings that often...leaving the rest of the bullpen to try and fend people off

wang is a very good pitcher but aside from him there really is no starter you can feel that confident about, even pettite just because he gives up so many hits. hughes has not pitched well at all and im not sure how comfortable the yanks can feel about throwing him in a game 3/4 of a playoff series

all in all itll come down to how often the yanks can keep outscoring their opponents, and its def possible but seeing as they will have to go through boston and the angels, i just dont see it happening for more than 1 round of the playoffs.

hughes and Clemens are def big if's esp if clemens and this elbow keep acting up.

edwar and moose don't exactly inspire confidence in the bullpen.
kennedy is an unknown..he's had one good start so far.

Clemens is a pretty big ? at this point. he's basically an older, more injured version of Pettite.
