$10 NL - call reraise OOP with 44?
This guy was 20/18/infiniti over about 50 hands
He was playing every raise very strong and agressive, but would check out of the blinds against multiple limpers and then show hands like AQ. I have a very tight image IMO, I've been at this table for about 5 orbits and have only raised 3 or 4 hands because of the garbage I have been dealt. The only showdown I have had was a AJo I checked in the BB and the called a shorty's AI on a 2-J-4 flop. When he reraises me, I am 99.9% sure he has AA. I don't think I am getting the odds to call, right? I am sure that if I catch a set, I will stack him. Do you ever make this call or is this a straight math play? I would fold, your not getting the right price for setmining + even if he just has overcards and you don't hit your set, you can't call his cbet.

Re: $10 NL - call reraise OOP with 44?
Your seeing monsters. This is not AA 99.9% of the time, this is 99+ AK/AQ/AJ or other stuff more than you think. You still need to fold here, villain reraised enough to keep you from set mining. You can't win enough to make up for the amount of times you call and have to fold or hit and either get out-flopped or sucked out. I usually limp with 44 from UTG, sometimes raise, sometimes fold(not really).

I will fold here more than sometimes. 10NL is a limit you really really want to be playing position. I think you are putting too much money in to play oop against most likely multiple opps is a smart move in a no foldem game.

Re: $10 NL - call reraise OOP with 44?
I'm not saying this is always AA from any opponent. In this case, based on my observations on this opponent - I was confident that he had AA (the other .1% being KK)
But I guess I have my answer: this is a straight math play. |

Re: $10 NL - call reraise OOP with 44?
It is a fold. You aren't look good for set value and you are OOP and behind his range. You also aren't going to get him to fold an overpair very often at all.
