Default Re: giftcards.com trip report

I have placed around 8 orders. I got 1 card with my amex and thought everything would be fine after that. I ordered another card with the same info I used to purchase the one that went through and they declined it (saying the address doesn't verify). I called them and said, "It just worked earlier today and I didn't change anything". They said "sorry, try again." I tried again two times and both got declined. I am finished with the site and most likely online poker. I really don't want the government to win though, I hate them. I just want to play some poker.

$500 for $502. Took a few hours. Good alternative.

Wonder if the government can stop this method somehow?

I got the e-mail that my card was waiting for me.
Then I had to set up the account again or something?

Now, on my account, it says that my gift-card status is 'processing'.
It's been like that for a couple more hours.

Is this typical?
Seems kind of weird.

Over 24 hours since I originally placed the order.

I guess if you know it's going to take a day or two it still isn't a horrible option.
But it seems unnecessarily delayed and complicated. And I really don't know if everything is okay and to just wait...or if there's something wrong and I should start to look into it.

Giving them until tomorrow morn/aft to give me the money and then I get to look into it further.

Yeah, to claim the giftcard you have to register with the site. You should get the e-mail confirming the order and then register within the first few minuted. Then it takes a couple of hours to process.

I used two different e-mail addresses: one to send from and one to receive. I used the e-mail I "received" the card at to register. Maybe this helped it run more smoothly?

Does the load count as a cash advance?

If not, this is a great service. Epassporte would charge $25 to load $500. Giftcards.com is $2

Not sure how they can do this (aren't CC fees like 3%) but I'm surprised the pokersites aren't promoting this more as it seems the cheapest and quickest way for US players to fund sites.

The giftcards site might not know that they can still be used for some of these sites. They might decide to shut it down when they realize it. Guessing it might not last forever.

I finally got mine all processed and was able to deposit.
Put some on WSEX, some on another sports-site.
It wasn't accepted at Bodog for some reason.

Has anyone experience canceled orders?
I made three attempts and all of them were canceled. I type in my address in all caps because I copied and pasted it and I called customer service and they said there processor is case sensitive. Anyone think the address in caps might have affected the transaction?

So there are no problems sending this thing to yourself? ie: same name, email addy, and using your own account to purchase it?
