Default AA, river double pairs board

10NL 6max UB

Third orbit at table, have not seen Button raise yet, may be loose passive, but not sure.

Effective stacks $10

Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in CO

2 folds, Hero raises $.35, Button calls, 2 folds.

Flop ($.85) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets $.65, Button calls.

Turn ($2.05) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero bets $1.75, Button calls.

River ($5.28) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero ??

Really don't think he has a 3. Probably not an 8 either. Unsure about mid PPs 99, TT, JJ. Most likely hands are the flush draw ([img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]s) and a Qx hand. I do not know if he would bluff when checked to in this spot. Is it best to bet fold (maybe $2) or check-call a reasonable bet (up to about $2.75) here?

He's not going to call with worse.

If you are going to bet/fold for $2, just check and call up to $2, $4 or w/e.

Much better line.

I think he bets a Q on the turn.

I really prefer b/f river in this situation as you're less likely to be bluffed. I bet closer to slightly greater than 1/2pot though as I do with most hands I am prepared to bet out with on the river.

I agree, the only hands we beat that will possibly call are 99-JJ, and that would be fairly rare.

[/ QUOTE ] So you think he raises me on the turn with a Q here? I have shown nothing but strength. I disagree.

[/ QUOTE ] That's the problem I had. I know he rarely calls a bet when we beat him, but how much and how often does he bet worse? Without a read I hate to give him a chance to just hit 'bet pot' and I have to fold. If I bet, I can set the price and not have to worry about being bluffed out. I'm not really sure in this spot and would love to be convinced one way or the other.

Its not so much that I don't want to be bluffed at; I just don't want to be forced to blindly call a river bet on the presumption I'm being bluffed, particularly a board like this with a villan who's happy enough to call 1 pfr and 2 barrels.

Imo b/f gives much more info than c/c on a board like this as only a boat and a completely manic bluff raises this river bet. Given action leading to river I would be surprised if you weren't at least called.
