$50 6 max - Where do I fold my flush?
I closed the table after this hand, so I'm doing it from memory.
UTG TAGish player with $50 raises to $2. UTG+1 calls the $2, his stack is >$100. I've seen UTG+1 making a bad call, and he's not a very good player AFAIK. I call in LP with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. My stack is just over $70. Blinds fold. Flop is A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (~$6.50 in pot) UTG bets $5, UTG+1 minraises to $10. Hero... ? I raised to $30. Too much? UTG folds, then UTG+1 raises to $50. Now I do what? Who folds here? What the hell could he have here that I beat? |

Re: $50 6 max - Where do I fold my flush?
I'm pushing - Villian could be doing this with something like AJ and the J of hearts, 2 pair, or JT. If villian flopped a higher flush, he's going to have to show it down. But IMO, I think you see the aforementioned hands (2 pair, A-Jh, JT) more often than not.

Re: $50 6 max - Where do I fold my flush?
Let's consider our options here.
a) Muck and save ourself 40. b) Call and muck if another [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] falls on the turn c) Push for 70 more. On the flop I prefer overbetting pot, thus pot committing myself. B) is clearly our worst option. You have not described UTG+1's bad play. Given the information here, it looks like a fold. |

Re: $50 6 max - Where do I fold my flush?
i'm pretty much going broke here...if he's got a higher flush, then i'm paying him off, although I sure seem to be losing to a lot of flush over flushes lately.
