Did Armando leave a curse on the Shea Stadium mound that no Mets closer can have an easy save? [/ QUOTE ] wagner has been awesome all year and has had very few scary saves. the braves just do that to us |

I'm not sure I can classify the night as "fun" either, even though we won.
IF we proceed to win today, though, I think that last night's game may end up being considered some kind of turning point, perhaps signaling the start of some success when we got our act together. Obviously, we were quite fortunate to win that game. But sometimes that is what it takes to go on a roll. |

Thank you chemists for inventing Zantac!
The Bravos fans in the Braves thread crack me up. I actually think they give it to their manager better than we do. Kudos to them. Now I just need to figure out an excuse to "work" from home this afternoon..... |

[/ QUOTE ] After so many games after the years that have been considered "turning points", and turned out to be nothing close, I no longer believe in any of that stuff. I do think, though, that if Alou starts warming up, then things can turn around a little bit. I guess fun is in the eye of the beholder. We won, late inning comeback, get through tense moments in the 9th. To me that's fun. Not every Braves win can be like the 10-run inning game |
