Why do people like to give advice to other people yet oftentimes don't take their own advice? Where does this usually good advice come from if they don't listen to it?

it's harder to see themselves, so it's harder to follow the advice....
have you ever sat at a poker game live and know when someone should raise bluff or raise for value, but you know you it'd be hard to do for youself too if you where in his pants?
