Zod, Zero, Toro: You're all exemplifying the ever-ManRam-apologist nature of Sox fans.
I get it, he's awesome. He's one of the greatest hitters of all time, and he plays on your favorite team. I also get that English isn't his second language, but surely you heard the sound byte and not solely the typed script, no? Because it's also the way he said it. The sound byte doesn't scream "English isn't my native language." It's more like "another ring would be cool, but it certainly isn't going to sting if we're eliminated by the Indians, of all teams." Or, maybe the three of you are right, and he was shooting for eloquent and dignified, and landed at vapid and apathetic.

Pretty sure Manny is never "shooting for eloquent and dignified."
The "Manny doesn't care" thing should be viewed in light of the fact that he puts in the most time of any hitter on the Sox.
