Default Chicagoland area - Horseshoe\'s poker room 2008?

Rumor mill: The Horseshoe plans to build a 38 table poker room in 2008. I heard they bought half the marina so they could expand. I also heard that there will be a small room which will host high-limit action. That said, how many will migrate from Resorts/Majestic Star to play there?

I hope they start spreading the NLHE with 1/2 blinds. I love that game, and its not as brutal for the buyins as the MS 200$ max ATM game.

2008? Harrah's? By then the rake/time should be close to outrageous, depending upon the competitive nature of the gaming market in the area. There will be another casino up and running by 2008, in New Buffalo Michigan.

I've been hearing rumors about Horseshoe for two years. I'll believe it when I see it.

It is a fact. The construction trailers are on the first level of the parking garage. 8 barges will be delivered in the fall and the casino will be open 13 months later.
There is also talk about a hotel

I just got back from staying at the Resorts. In my room, there was an issue of Casino Player stating that it is a $500m project. Most of the high-rollers are playing at Horseshoe, it will be interesting (in 2008) to see how many will want to give poker a shot...
