Live 15/30 - TT in BB
Cut-off is a decent player that has been playing with me for a while. He's nothing special, but he knows how to play poker a little. He probably sees me as a tough, tricky player (which I am, for this game...the rest of the table is awful).
Folds to CO who raises, I 3-bet in the big blind with TT. Flop comes 962 rainbow. I'm fairly sure he will bet the flop (this is based on several hours of playing with him) so I check-raise, he calls. Turn is a Q, completes the rainbow. What's my move? |

Re: Live 15/30 - TT in BB
Bet to protect your hand which is very vulnerable. You don't say what he will bet the flop with or what his range is PF so giving anything more than a generalized statement is going to be difficult.

Re: Live 15/30 - TT in BB
I'll try to offer some more information.
He's aggressive/reasonable enough to raise pretty much any hand he's calling when folded to him in the CO. That puts his range at basically any ace, most kings, any two face cards and probably any pairs starting at 66. On the flop I think he's almost always betting if I check. |

Re: Live 15/30 - TT in BB
Being he called your C/R and you describe your image as possibly tricky again I would just bet for value. He likely has a piece or draw and will be happy to see a SD cheaply so checking the turn is bad. If you're concerned about the overcard, I see no reason to be. Even if that was one of his outs it's doubtful you will even be raised by just a TP hand. If he calls I bet the river for value as your image likely causes you to get looked up lightly.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah Joker I took that flop check as very risky, but just assumed OP knew is opponent well enough that he would always bet but never/rarely raise a worse hand |

Re: Live 15/30 - TT in BB
A few thoughts:
o Your line risks a check through *duh* o You're defining a hand that really liked that flop in order to get one small bet into the pot with a vulnerable hand and 2 cards to come. o Is there any value in punishing your opponent for insta-betting here. Are there enough spots where we would check here and want him to check behind? (No) |

Back to live action. On the turn, I bet, and he raises. What now?
To me, his line makes sense here with AQ, JJ, and QQ. I think he might well do this with AK or KQ as well (figuring I was FOS on the flop). |
