Nintendo Wii preorder is TOMORROW! Friday the 13th!

In spirit of the PS3 preorder thread, I wanted to give you guys notice about Wii preorder tomorrow.

Same process. EB Games/Gamestops will start taking preorders on first come first serve basis. Most of the places open at 10am. I plan to be there a little early to get my preorder in. A preorder will carry a downpayment of $50. Good luck.

It's unclear what the profit margin is. Chances are very good that there will be a shortage of these on opening day/week so there will be a premium.

At worst, you can return it back to EB Games if you are not successful with selling it. It's a riskless proposition. (Aside from tying up $50 for a month)

I think the shortages will be a much bigger problem for the PS 3, since its set to release only 400,000 compared to the Wii's 2 million. Lucky for me I have 2 PS 3 preorders [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img].

Anyways, what time are all of you planning to get in line for the Wii? My friend is gonna be in line at 4 a.m., but I can't join him. Another friend of mine has offered to go get me one, but he's not into waiting for more than a half an hour, so like 9:30. I think he'll be able to get one fine, and if not, i'll be waiting at best buy the day before it comes out.

No, screw that. I'm working on last minute casino bonuses right now. I'll be there at 930am. I got my PS3 preorder and I showed up at my local place at 1030 - 30 min after opening - so I'm lucky.

Got mine!

They had 16 and had to turn people away

The ones down the street also sold out (we have 3 within 5 miles of each other)

I got Wii, extra wiimote/nunchucka, zelda, rayman, monkey ball

I'm starting to think i shoulda reserved a bunch of extra wiimotes as they will likely not ship many extra and could make money on ebay after launch from those who wanna multi-player

Got mine. Got there at 930 and there were 3 people in front of me. By 10:10, the manager had to turn some people away.

I got the system, and extra nunchuck/remote controllers. I did not get any games.

With both this system and PS3, I am not sure whether to get games or not. I guess I'm going for the high end market, and they probably want some games included. Not sure which to get though...

I would like to pitch my auction to the European market. Potentially a lot more profit, because we are getting the systems 3 weeks before they are.
