(100NL) 99 UTG flops OESD
Reads: SB was 64% VPIP after 22 hands with an aggro factor of 2.2... seemed solid post-flop, but it was a small sample size.

I may have misplayed this on every street. pre-flop, the blinds were both too loose so i figured them for a call, and the rest of the table was playing fairly tight, so i think raising with 99 UTG was alright. on the flop, i planned on betting, but was unsure how to proceed after SB opened. Also, is this river an easy value bet, or is a check better because not many losing hands will call a bet on the end? |

Re: (100NL) 99 UTG flops OESD
I'd probably raise this one one the flop, to about 15 or so. As played I am very happy to check behind on the end and just show my hand down.
Also, what was your plan if villain bet again on the river, and you had failed to improve? |

Re: (100NL) 99 UTG flops OESD
i was folding to any decent river bet. There's always the chance SB is bluffing with a missed draw, but i'm not sure if SB would be leading both the flop and turn without the nut flush draw(meaning the river pairs the A and i'm beat). Also, though it was a small sample, SB had won 4 out of 4 hands at showdown, so i wouldn't think a bluff was likely.
if i raise the flop (which seems to be the best play, in hindsight), and SB checks the turn, how much should i bet? i'm not sure i like potting it there, but i (obviously) have some weak tight tendencies. (also, i'm assuming if SB leads the turn after the raise, its a clear fold). |
