I am suprised people are saying Curry has more value. Curry turns the ball over way more, does not pass at all, rebounds less and does not block. Shaq turns over less, passes, rebounds more and blocks a huge ammount when playing. He also gets the occasional steal which Curry does not. I would certainly grab Shaq over Curry especially with Zach in town and Morris developing.

the FT% is a big issue, as is the fact that he'll likely play 50-60 games. that lost production hurts in H2H

After the draft, somebody offered me a straight up trade of Chris Paul for Barbosa ... Is this is a no-brainer and I should just take it before he changes his mind?

Yes.

I agree, but Shaq plays less minutes now so it doesn't hurt as much as it used to, although it hurts a lot. He is likely to miss games yes, but for the first time in forever he is healthy to start the year, i think that is a pretty good sign.

3 Bench players

think there are going to be 10-12 teams in league

Each position can only be used for 82 games.

3PTM (2), PTS (1), REB (1), AST (1), ST (2), BLK (2), TO (-1)

Check the depth charts. Focus on guys who average a steal and a block per game.

Wow, this is an interesting scoring system. It seems to me that it would way-devalue rebounds and assists though. Also the 2pt for a 3pointer(plus the 3 points you get for the points) make 3 point shooters huge, especially if they can contribute in blocks/steals as well. And the lack of percentages change things a ton as well.

I would think that this system greatly favors guys like Artest, Josh Smith, Rafer Alston, Baron Davis, Arenas, Iverson, Jason Richardson, Ray Allen, Rasheed Wallace, Mike Miller, etc. These types of players are much more valuable than usual.

Meanwhile great percentage guys or guys that rack up assists and rebounds like Nash, Dirk, Yao, Boozer, KG, David Lee, etc. aren't as valuable as usual.

106,112 and counting

Points are the easiest things to get so dont focus on them. You want to focus on finding players who hit 3's, block and steal.
