6*3*3*36 + 4*3*3*3 =

1944+108 = 2052 ways to flop two pairs (or three pairs).

That's out of C(48,3) = 17296 possible flops.

Thus the probability of flopping two pairs (or three pairs) is 2052/17296 = 0.119.

Odds against it are roughly fifteen to two.

Take out the 108 if you don't want three pairs. (thus use 1944/17296).

for completeness you should remember that some of those hands include hands where you flop bigger than 2 pair.

i guess what im really asking is what the chance is of outflopping aces with complete garbage like 268Q or soemthign that i would never nrnally play but if some fish thta never raises pre without aces raises and then he always go broke unimproved...

As simulated Heroine with 268Q rainbow against Villain with AAYZ, flops a bust 27182 and one pair 50294. The other flops are two pairs or better for 268Q rainbow. (But some of those two pair or better hands would give Villain an even better hand).

Looks to me like on the flop 268Q rainbow would be behind a hand containing a pair of aces something of the order of 4 to 1. (Depends on the other two cards that go with the aces).

Doesn't end up being that big a margin for the aces over trash - only about 2 to 1 at the showdown. (66194 to 33481 with 325 ties).
