Re: Can you Stop \'n\' Go two people?
[ QUOTE ]
So instead of one opponent seeing five cards, you have two opponents seeing three cards? Now you're not to know that MP is stealing and will fold if he misses but assuming he does miss, is CO getting the odds to call with his overcard? [/ QUOTE ] Assuming MP folds and CO is having exactly one overcard: No he doesn't get the odds needed. His pot odds will of course still be 5:2 as if preflop, but with one overcard he's only 6:1 But it's a long shot, I agree. For a S'n'G to wotk, none of them must hit the flop so I think pushing is cleary better Edited because my math sucked |

Re: Can you Stop \'n\' Go two people?
Push preflop.
Your hand is too good to fold, and there's a SLIGHT CHANCE that one of your opponents may recognize this move as a pure squeeze play and actually call/isolate with much less than a premium hand. Since you are ahead of any non-pocket-pair and there's overlay in the pot - preflop push is a no-brainer here. I might try stop-n-go with two people if my hand was something like no-gap suited connectors and I flopped a decent combo draw. With 8's chances are that the flop will hit at least one of your opponents better than you are just too big. |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree on most of what you said, but I can't help but correcting a very common misconception of the SnG (which I bolded). The Stop 'n' Go is by definition not dependent on the flop. You move in on any flop. If you call to see a flop, it's not a Stop 'n' Go |

Re: Can you Stop \'n\' Go two people?
My bad.
In that case - I'll almost NEVER do SnG with two other people in the hand. |

Re: Can you Stop \'n\' Go two people?
The problem with stopandgoing two people is that the more people that see the flop, the more likely it is that somebody has hit it. If you had tried it, and MP called you with QJ, you'd be thinking "why didn't I just push preflop?"
