Default Going to Vegas, should I buy a money belt?

I'll have to carry around 1500 cash while I'm there because my bank doesn't have a branch there. Just wondering if a money belt and a decoy wallet would be a good idea. I'm staying at the stardust and will be walking around the strip quite a bit as I plan on playing at several locations. Maybe I'm too paranoid, but 1500 is kind of a lot of money for me hopefully I will have more by the end of my trip.

No you shouldnt buy a moneybelt silly!, you need a bulletprood suitcase to handcuff to your wrist.

If 1500 is too much for you to lose being jumped or whatever then you probably shouldnt be gambling with that much...just my opinion though.

The Strip is very safe.

Lots of people walk around with lots of money. Nobody is going to notice you at all.

1500 in a money belt? WTF Are you doing, bringing all 1's?

If it's 100's, it's 15 little pieces of paper. I wouldn't think you'd need this. I've carried upwards of 5k to a poker room, too and from work/car, and so on without ever having a problem.

Note to you idiots: I dont carry this much with me anymore

I carry one on my video poker trips, but that's because I carry upwards of 8 or 9k and that's too much for my wallet so I have to split it up. And after I'm done I typically have more cash so I need the extra room for the trip home.

Just put your money/wallet in your FRONT pockets, don't act nervous and you'll be fine.

I was just in Vegas for NYears' -- I had about 6K with me and had no problems -- keep everything in your front pockets or wear a light jacket with some kind of inner pocket that zips up. As long as you don't advertise to the world by taking out all your bills at once you'll be fine. If you play good poker, you won't even have to go to your pocket at all

Don't sweat it, just keep your wallet in your front pocket. If you want to feel safer, spread the money across a couple of pockets or leave some in the room. No biggie.

Absolutely, you should get a money belt.
Then you could walk around and show people your money belt, and say, "I got $1500, ALL IN CASH, in here!"
Ought to be good for a few laughs.

1500 in Vegas is no big deal. Keep it in all big bills in your wallet, stay on the strip, don't act nervous and you'll be fine. Have a good trip.

According to Froogle, moneybelts are $12.99 at JC Penny. Good thing you've mobilized 2+2 to sort this out before you made that kind of investment
