How does Venetian Deep Stack Ex. compare to regular Venetian tourneys?
I was checking out the Venetian Deep Stack schedule:
http://venetian.com/VenetianEng/Asse...deepstack2.pdf It looks very appealing, however then I checked out the Venetian's regular Daily Tournaments: http://venetian.com/VenetianEng/Asse...ertornysch.pdf And they look to be the exact same set-up for both. $330 = 6000 chips $540 = 10000 chips Is the structure going to be any slower for the Deep Stack Extravaganza, will there be a lot more entrants, etc? I'm asking because some of my friends and I are planning a trip to Vegas, and we'd like to play in this event...we would go the last week of June (25th-29th). However, it would be more feasible for everyone to go in late July and if the Venetian Daily Tourneys are run exactly the same as their Deep Stack Event then there would be no urgency to go on the last week of June. |

Re: How does Venetian Deep Stack Ex. compare to regular Venetian tourn
fter the first Deep Stack Extravaganza they decided to make that there usual tournament structure.
However during the actual eveent they had much greater turnouts then there usual daily tournaments and I imagine they are expecting larger fields again because of what else is going on then. They have also added a few $1000 tournaments as well as a couple of nonholdem events. |

Re: How does Venetian Deep Stack Ex. compare to regular Venetian tourn
Deep Stack II should bring in about 400 entries per trny. So if you like big field trnys you would be better off coming when you had planned at the end of june.

Re: How does Venetian Deep Stack Ex. compare to regular Venetian tourn
I'm actually a little disappointed with the Deep Stack Extravaganza 'cause I like the normal deep stack schedule. I was looking forward to the WSOP people landing and learning the best tourney in town for the price was the daily $340's at V. Now there are many fewer normal NLHE 340's. But that's ok...I'll survive.
Query: Are the 8pm tournaments going to run during the Extravaganza? |

Re: How does Venetian Deep Stack Ex. compare to regular Venetian tourn
www.binions.com made it very hard to find because their web site doesn't work right with my Firefox and clips off the dropdown menu that actually had the pointer to said info!!!! I figured that might be happening so tried IE and found it. http://www.binions.com/gaming/poker_classic.html
The NLHE structure varies with buyin. $150 buyin has T4000 starting and 30 minute rounds while the $500 buyin starts with T10000 and uses 40 minute rounds. Both use the same blind progression: 25/50, 50/100, 75/150, 100/200, 100/200/25, 200/400/25, 300/600/50, 400/800/75, 600/1200/100, 800/1600/200, 1000/2000/200, 1500/3000/300, 2K/4K/400, 3K/6K/600, 4K/8K/800, 6K/12K/1K, 8K/16K/1500, 10K/20K/2K, 15K/30K/3K, 20K/40K/4K, 30K/60K/6K, 40K/80K/8K |

Re: How does Venetian Deep Stack Ex. compare to regular Venetian tourn
V's $340 starts you with T6000 and $550's with T10000. I don't see V's blind structure online but I have a printed version of what they used last Extravaganza. Rounds were 40 minutes, and the SB/BB structure they used was identical to what I just posted for Binions, but V's antes are slightly larger (1K/2K/300 vs /200, 1500/3000/500 vs /300, 2K/4K/500 vs /400, etc). Looks like Binions is keeping the antes at about 10% of the BB while V's antes are centered around 1/6th of a BB.

Does anyone know if these are one day toruneys? I would love to play the Razz tourney but if they make the final table the next day it would be difficult to make it to the Rio by 5p. |
