Default Gutshot and overcards on turn, call/fold?

New table, no reads on any players yet. I thought about this a long time, is this turn a call or a fold? With the 3rd player still to act, and the flush draw on the table, I folded the turn, but afterwards thought that maybe I should have called, all 6 overcard outs may not be clean, but still I have 3 or 4 outs to a nut straight, that could have been enough getting 8-1? Also on the flop I first thought about calling but then tried a free card raise, which didn't work.

flop play is debatable im not sure i like raising at all, and im not sure I can fold despite the flush draw and possible check-raisers behind getting 9:1. raising could clean up some outs though

as played im not really sure how many outs to give us on the turn, we need like 5.5 on avg to call so we should probably just call and see what the river brings (since we have 3 outs to the nuts) but im not crazy about it cuz i think our implied odds are negative. Im basing that on nothing though (except for all our outs being dirty except a non club T).

nice post interesting flop spot probably worth discussing

I raise that flop too preferably taking freecard on turn. But I still call turn here figuring 6-7 effective outs plus probably an extra bet when you hit the 4 outs to the nuts.

How is there a draw to the nuts on a paired board?

FYP?

I'd call the flop and fold the turn as played. Not closing the action sucks - shouldn't have shown third player just call behind.

I'm not sure you are likely to be buying outs on the flop often enough to make raising better than calling on the flop.

I think the turn is close between calling and folding. You might have 6 or 7 outs if you're lucky, but the fact that you're not closing the action and that you may have to pay off a better hand if you hit on the river make me want to fold.

I posted this because I was mad at myself when the river was Th and CO bet his QT, and i could have raised his straight with the nut straight and I would have won 2-3 big bets. Still, this is results oriented thinking, and I think call was a close decision but I would have won a nice pot.
