Blind battle against a LAG
This guy is overaggressive (40/25/3) and does tend to spew post-flop.
PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks. Flop: (2 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls. When he just limps his SB I don't expect him to have any hand that hits this flop unless he has a draw. Maybe he has a weak K or Q9, but I think he is bluffing a lot here. I should have just called here since it seems to be somewhat of a ROI situation. Turn: (3 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero... I wasn't expecting this. I still think he's messing around here a lot, but this is why I should be just calling against a guy like this. I guess this hand is just more of a demonstration of how not to play marginal hands against a LAG. |

Re: Blind battle against a LAG
Id just call the flop and give him a chance to spew more on the turn and river. As played I think you can fold, even vs a lag.

I think you summed up the problem pretty well in your thoughts on the flop

So many crap hands in his range that wont be calling anything but firing again. Turn is a fold IMO. When people c/r a brick they have a good hand more often than not. |

Re: Blind battle against a LAG
If he spews, why not just continue to call down as opposed to scaring him out or letting him make all these moves?

Re: Blind battle against a LAG
I agree with Matt here.
I would just continue to call down this spewer. And even if the 9 comes, so be it if you're beat. Call it. You can not be afraid of this. I think folding is just really weak. Dont allow yourself to be pushed around. |

Re: Blind battle against a LAG
I like calling down from the flop on and let him bet his 43o every street. Sometimes he will have a strong hand though and then he'll play it like he did in this hand.
I fold as played. |
