Re: Jumping up with bankroll from outside poker activities
I'm at micro's - 10NL. Just always thought [and wanted] that starting at lowest limits is the ONLY best way to learn the game better and so on. Lately, though, I start to doubt it.
P.S. Although I don't want to say, that I don't respect people, who done that. |

Re: Jumping up with bankroll from outside poker activities
If you want more of a challenge just practice bizarro table selection. Sit down at a table at $50NL or $100NL with all 20/16/5 players. They're there (at least at FT) and it sounds like what you're looking for. Maybe get up and leave if a couple of those really tough 46/2/1's show up. You don't need that pressure. Re: Jumping up with bankroll from outside poker activities
If you can beat small stakes, you can beat 25 or 50nl in 2 weeks each if you run okay... If you're not where you want to be yet, it's just cause your not ready I guess

Don't kid yourself though: if you cannot beat 25NL, you will not be able to beat 50NL, and so on... |

Re: Jumping up with bankroll from outside poker activities
I guess I will do that. I hope there will be less people, who, for example, do something stupid and then - "oh, it's just a lunch money for me". I understand - for one buy-in I can buy here only good lunch, too [ok, and a couple of beers], but there I want to play and think, not just hope, that my opponent is from Zimbabwe, where ten bucks means something.
I am just sick of feeling, that, when sitting at the table, there's more and more thoughts "will someone outdraw me today", not "ok, let's learn something today". |

That's why I started this thread - to know better. And I don't want to jump to "how much I can afford", no. I am a regular reader here and pretty much know, how the skill levels drastically [overall] jump along the level of stakes. I was asking about really small stakes and didn't intend to move up without any sense whatsoever. |

in all seriousness, it sounds like you wont be happy at 25NL...do what u gotta do to get $1000 in your account and 4-table 50NL...post hands at microstakes and see how you do after 10K hands...gl |
