Re: August Low-Content Thread
Wow I lost a $500 prop bet to Crazy Mike while playing 100/200 HU under basically the exact same circumstances. He is a wily one.

I think this requires an MSPaint representation, so as to alert others who may be duped.

Re: August Low-Content Thread
I learned the secret to winning at poker from the fine people at commerce.........setups and the scramble. If you ask for a setup and have the dealer SCRAMBOOL real good you will never lose. But if you do lose stare at the dealer real good then muck your cards face up at him until you win a pot.
Now that I just woke up a 2 am I have no choice but to make the gambol at good ol' canterbury. |

Re: August Low-Content Thread
The key to restricted hold them is to put your opponent on a decision for some of his chips.

"4-betting against a 3-bet semi-bluff must feel sweet."
my hand wasnt a semibluff, he just had a better made hand. i guess my 3 bet had some hope he would fold a better hand, but i never thought he'd fold tpkk. |

Re: August Low-Content Thread
Yes I assumed your hand was like 77-88/9X/draws/hands that beat me so that was obviously like one of the worst rivers I could see.
Also since we've played a lot together and you are used to me raising every flop I thought it was extra likely that you would think my turn raises were draws, but as you found out yesterday my new thing is to raise every turn instead of every flop. I'm fairly sure that the threat of being raised on any turn card has caused some people to soil themselves in fear. They still have all my money, but at least they smell bad. Got back from a 75/150 omaha hi/holdem a bit ago. I'm officially done complaining. My spirit may have finally been crushed. I can only take solace in the fact that when I stop running at 25% wtsd/30% w$sd most of the people I play with will wonder what happened and why they don't have any money while it will be clear as day to me. The good news is that Crazy Mike declared today that he would learn Stud 8. The casino that we've been playing at lately won't spread Badugi (what everyone wants to add) but they'll spread Stud 8 so hopefully some point in the near future this will happen and it won't be a cute little Crazy Mike slowroll of life. |

right. that's why i played my hand the way i did. of course luckbox that you are you had top pair this time instead of air or a draw or a worse hand. silly me running into top pair again and again and again shorthanded. |

Re: August Low-Content Thread
I lied, I am going to complain, just not about losing like 90% of my sessions. I keep trying to start a topic in MHSH about playing A and K high on certain types of boards in sh/hu games but I've either become retarded or been awake too long because I'm struggling worse with wording the thread than I am with playing the hands.
*edit* I'll add some bonus content, a 75/150 Omaha Hi hand I played today and like one of the handful I won at showdown all night. This hand gives pretty clear evidence why I never win any more and will likely be broke very soon. 3 limps including sb and I check my option with QT92 double sooted with clubs and some other kind. Flop K77r with a club I announce I have a full house and bet, Crazy Mike and the other fish call, someone has to have a 7 here super often so I am basically guaranteed to give up on the turn. Turn K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Well this was basically the only card that was going to make me continue on. If someone has a K and someone has a 7 oh well then I bet into them like a fish, but these guys are both loose enough to have some really weird [censored] but also easily capable of folding a 7 after this doom card falls. So I bet and both call. Fantastic. River is the J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet Mike calls and fish folds a 7. Mike shows a 7 and a bunch of random low cards, apparently he was playing Omaha Low with 2-7 hand rankings preflop. I win the pot. That'll show them good for calling the turn in a spot where it looks like I can't possibly be bluffing. If only they'd play just a little bit better surely I'd be winning. Seriously though I'm not even sure this hand is that terrible even though the way it unfolded it looks just plain brutal and disgusting all over. |
