Sad thing is most of you (all of you?) are too young to remember the Niners teams just prior to Walsh arriving in 1979. I think I would start Scott Bull over Alex Smith at this point and DeBerg would be a no brainer. i can't believe I was looking forward to this season.

Hey but at least you guys have Vernon Davis right? That's pretty cool.

itd be a lot cooler if he could catch the [censored] football

[raises hand]

I remember a Detroit game when all the QBs got hurt and Freddie Solomon took the snaps and just ran with it every time.

Maybe they should run the wishbone with all the converted QBs on the team right now? Full house backfield with Smith handing off to Gore/Battle/Robinson and let one of those guys throw it?

Thoughts-

Tom Tolbert ruled.

Thx for going for it on 4th and giving my fantasy team a shutout Mike Nolan.

The broadcast team missed that Seattle picked up a few 3rd and shorts, which we cannot do this season. They spent so much time talking about the 9ers stinking that they ignored a lot of storylines that would be interesting to a Hawks fan.

The last two primetime Hawks games have been followed by massive power outages and horrible weather. There was a chance of that this time as well, thank you gods that I don't belive in, for taking mercy upon us.

It is much sexier watching Mo Morris than Shaun, but you could still see our line get raped at times.

Replacing Ben Onomanpia with DJ Hackett is good times.

Hackett looked like he was always open. Anytime the ball was thrown to Engram or Burleson, they had to make a catch in traffic. I think Hackett had one ball contested all night. Is he known for being a solid route-runner? Or were the 9ers just ignoring him?

He is known for being a bad route runner, but he is young and this is his first full time action since he's been hurt and was a back up before. He is a very good athlete and the the 49ers got no pressure on Matt.

Note: This 100% has something to do with Shaun Alexander being on the sidelines.

It also had something to do with the 9ers front 3 being way below average and Lawson being out for the season. Willis isn't much of a pass rusher as well.

They really need to draft/sign a FA pass rusher.

And a WR.

And some linemen.

I almost forgot Smith, he needs to be replaced because he blows balls. But hey, Andy Lee is awesome!

Definitely.

They need a lot.

Only guys I like are Clements, Lee, Willis, Gore and kinda like Davis. The rest of the team is pretty much horrible this season.
