Default Re: FTP + Multi-Table + PT + PaHud = Freeze. Fix? (maybe)

[ QUOTE ]
My fult tilt (on vista) lags like a bitch. I tried changing the affinity to 1 processor. This didn't do anything.
I turned off the sound. It runs fine. (This is all w/out PT+PAHUD running mind you)

[/ QUOTE ]

My old crappy desktop ran full tilt with no problems. My new laptop with Vista can only run it when the sound is off.

It tells me access is denied when i try to change the priority even though i am administrator. Can anyone help me out here?

I purged about 1/2 of my PT DB, FTP runs about 1000000000% better. I have very little lag now. Got sick of folding AA pf.

sorry for noob question, but, how do you purge the PT db's?

Also, if you have more than one DB, which I accidently created...can I combine them? how? thanks!

it doesn't work even when it is the only program open. Maybe full tilt can figure something out. They haven't been helpful so far

My problem appears to be fixed by going to control panel -> sounds -> Speakers/ Headphones -> Enhancements and then Disable All Enhancements.
