Should I keep my job bouncing?

Do you want to work in clubs/bars for much longer? If so, or if you don't know what's next for you, then sure. I hear the money's good and the sex is easy pickings.

When beggers ask me for money, I tell them I want something for my money, and then I make them answer a question. Usually something like "Whats your happiest memory" or "if you had 3 wishes what would they be". My friend says this is incredibly mean. I disagree. What is your opinion?

It's a little mean. As a whole, beggars are not happy and have not had their previous wishes fulfilled (beyond the frequent "I wish I had drugs right now so I could forget my life" wish).

But asking them questions they have to answer is good. For them you're just part of an endless parade of people they don't care about who have nothing but contempt for them. But if you can lighten up on the contempt, why not? They don't have to answer, you don't have to give money.

The thing: are you punishing them for begging by asking them embarrassing or hurtful things, or are you just entertaining yourself?

How do I get my cat back off my evil neighbours?

Cats like food. You need to bribe your cat with tasty food. I am pretty sure that's how the old biddies stole her in the first place.

Why do hot chicks do porno?

Some hot chicks do porn, but almost no porn chicks are superhot. There's a strong selective pressure towards "at least above average" but also against "super hot" cause super hot chicks can do just fine without the social isolation and emotional callousing of porn.

Why do they do it? Cause it seems like a good idea at the time. They may be exhibitionists, not value their privacy, see nothing wrong with commodifying sex since so many people are just interested in them for sex anyhow, cause they're 20 have no marketable skills and want easy cash, etc.

When you view sex as transactional and not personally valuable then it's not surprising to consider monetizing it. Thus, chicks who were molested.

Would you ever date a porn star?

A former porn star who tested clean, yeah I guess if she wasn't psycho. A current one? No. Not even if she just did girl-girl stuff now.

Dear Bison,

I have a big interview this afternoon for a new position at my current place of employ. I really want the job. And I'm perfectly qualified for it.

Any good interviewing advice you want to pass along, given what you know about me?

Schundler,

Who's smarter: you, blarg, or anacardo?

I don't know. I'm older than anacardo, so I've got that going for me.

Have you ever read Richard Rorty?

No.

I'm a sophomore in college (My school does fraternity recruitment 2nd year instead of 1st). Should I rush?

By this point you have friends. If your friends are in frats, sure. If not, why bother?

When do you consider a young male a man?

6450 days.

What's your first association with the term "libertarianism"?

Weed.

Do you think simultaneous belief in an intelligent creator and in evolution is reconcilable?

Clearly.

Do you think marketing is by nature, evil?

No. If you have a good product that I might like how the hell am I going to hear about it?

Would you rather be a 25-year-old millionaire or a 50-year-old billionaire? Or neither?

Young millionaire.

What are the two best fiction and non-fiction books written since the year 1900?

Catch-22
I have no idea.

Not sure if my questions will be within the areas of your expertise, but who cares. I'm in an impressionable period.

Subfallen,

The year of remedial work will let you figure out whether you're interested in this long term. Is this a potential mistake? Sure, but you're 22. You have at least another decade for completely starting over.

While having "handjobs for Fields medal winner" on your resume would be good, the lack of steady work itself is not a big deal since you're right out of school.

Before the money issue comes up, what kind of ballpark range should I have in mind?

This'll just be a vector drawing or something, so $50-$100, 2-3 hours of work.

Can I get free rent until its fixed?

Charlie,

Check your lease and what sort of maintenance turnaround it spells out. Ask for a discount in any case.
