Re: How do you handle this fine line??
[ QUOTE ]
This is the most stupid book in the history of the universe. By a long way. [/ QUOTE ] There's a lot of basic, sappy schlock in it, but some things that might be useful to some people. For example, most of my guy friends feel the need to fix the problems that their girlfriends/wives complain about. Instead of simply listening and empathizing, they offer suggestions which are not always what's needed during these venting sessions. Sometimes, unfortunately, you just have to listen. But if you really understand the woman in your life then there are ways to derail the whine train. |

[/ QUOTE ] Chris Rock covers it too in his 2nd special. OP, I really hope you seized the opportunity to have the conversation you should have had years ago. I'm guessing you don't talk about sex either, otherwise you'd know that you're probably better off not initiating the conversation when she's doing it. |

Re: How do you handle this fine line??
op,
halfway through (or before) her rant you happen to tell her somthing intersting about your day that is more interesting than her day/story and then leave on a high note (take a shower, go the grocery store, or just walk out of the room) similar to george costanza in the episode of seinfeld where he learns to leave on a high note and therefore preserving his image of an interesting human being. guarenteed to produce ridiculous poon, tr pls. sxbrw |

By the way, OP, I think you need to subscribe to this: [/ QUOTE ] Agree totally with this. If you don't want to listen, tell her that. Be a man about it dude, why are you afraid of your g/f getting angry at you? It is better to tell the truth than to keep it bottled up inside pissing you off all the time. You need to train her better man.... and yes I have an italian g/f for over 5 years |

Re: How do you handle this fine line??
Yea i mean i'll reiterate what others are saying, just tell her it's a bit much for you after getting home and you don't feel like dealing with it. You can do this without being a complete insulting [censored], though its always more fun that way.

Re: How do you handle this fine line??
If by "knifed" you mean castrated, then yes.
