Re: Line check and river decision HU FTP 24K Guarantee
i'd probably shove preflop this shallow if i hadn't seen him limp big hands before.
as played bet the flop for like 360 and fold to a shove. shut down if he flats unless you turn top pair as you did, so shove turn. |

So then how much should the cbet on the flop be? Pot would be 520,000.

Re: Line check and river decision HU FTP 24K Guarantee
Thanks to all for the advice.
I see MJ's point about betting less PF, especially this shallow. And I see betting the flop, although the way he was playing, i saw checking = betting as he had been betting almost always when it was checked to him. When he shoved, my roommate was all like, "He doesn't do that with anything but a 9." I disagree. Villain had been value betting anywhere from 1/3-3/4 the pot on the river with his made hands. Also, I couldn't get out of my head what he was putting me on. If he just made the straight, is he going to shove when I check to him? His bet seemed designed to fold out a Q or middle pair. I called. Villain showed Ad3h. Ship $5,200 |
