If he's loose he could pretty easily have QJ... if he's weak/passive, even JJ [/ QUOTE ] really ? this looks more like 78s to me. |

[ QUOTE ] It's the only play you can make but I'd be busy hoping the CO hasn't over-setted you. [/ QUOTE ] Thats about it, IMO [/ QUOTE ] actually i was wondering whether I could actually fold out a higher set, since the flop call scared me to death. |

[ QUOTE ] You may be screwed here but I don't see playing this any other way. [/ QUOTE ] I'm on the same bus. In the long run set over set is a break-even prop. [/ QUOTE ] cause thats our goal in poker... breaking even... |

Re: might just have one out here...
Higher sets wont fold, raise bigger on flop so you dont give him odds to chase and your turn decision is easier.

Re: might just have one out here...
Only an idiot would just call the checkraise in COs position with a set. Would be less than a pot-sized rereraise for Christ's sake.
There are a lot of bad turn cards. Since you basically have to open-push any turn, you should checkraise flop much much bigger. BB is super committed and you want CO to pay through the nose for a draw cause he is getting your stack if it hits on the turn. |
