Default Taxes in Germany

I live in germany but unfortunately don't know the language yet. Does anyone has any info about taxes on poker winnings in germany, preferably in english?

You're talking about fee or taxes?

If you play online, you don't have to pay anything. (except to the site [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img])

If you play in casiones, afaik you only have to pay fee, no taxes. But i can be wrong.
(You have to pay taxes e.g., if you win big in a lottery).

But the other problem is that each federal state has differnt laws about this (afaik).

If you wanna play in a special casiono, just call and ask, usually they tell u.

At this moment no pokerplayer had to pay any taxes but if you play 160h/month with 100k winnings a year it could be the case that one day you have to pay taxes.

for now,there are no taxes on "gambling" in germany. Im from BW also, in which city do you live?

In theory you have to pay taxes on your winnings but nobody does.

No - that's wrong. Lottery wins a taxfree in Germany.
