Default Funky Postseason Pool, Would Love Some Input

I participate in a points-based fantasy baseball league. We've devised a cockamamie suicide-style postseason format: each team selects 6 batters, 4 pitchers, and 2 closers. These will remain on each team for the duration of the playoffs, and we all have access to all the same players (so theoretically two teams could end up identical, this is to keep from needing a physical draft which might've been impossible).

Points are awarded like this:

Batters (pts per occurrence):
H: 1
2B: 2
3B: 3
HR: 5
R: 1
RBI: 1
BB: 1
SB: 1

Pitchers (pts per occurrence):
W: 20
IP: 1
K: 1
Bonus points for things like no-hitters, shutouts, complete games, etc.

I've left out some of the scoring particulars, but you get the drift.

Because we're only drafting once for the whole postseason, I need to select batters and pitchers that are good but also that are on teams that I think will last beyond the first series.

My working roster:

M Ramirez BOS
D Ortiz BOS
J Rollins PHI
R Howard PHI
A Rodriguez NYY

J Beckett BOS
B Webb ARI
C Hamels PHI
C Wang NYY

J Papelbon BOS
B Myers PHI

Obviously I think that BOS and PHI will advance beyond the first round, but in the event they both don't I'm totally screwed. Thus, I'm considering spreading my picks around a little more. Thoughts would be very welcome, roster needs to be submitted by Noon PST.

how many teams are there? if there are a lot i think you need to put your eggs in only one or two baskets for pitching b/c you won't be able to put up a great number of stats if you only have one left after round 1.

Ive only done these playoff pools for football not baseball but your stategy is the same as what i would do. Pick the 2 teams that will play in each LCS and then the 2 for the WS.

I like Bos over NY and Phil over CHI so i would go with the same as you with A. Ramirez for Hitting and go with Zambrano over Webb.

In your case if you are picking Ari to beat CHI you could throw Byrnes in there.
