How To Make WPEX Outstanding
I want this site to succeed so bad. With you guys having 1100 players you are on the brink of having a breakthrough in traffic. If this truely is a loss leader and you keep it rakefree when it reaches 5000 players then you could easily reach that mark by doing just a couple of things.
1. Change the slider in the betting section: Right now it's difficult to bet any amount between the min and 10x the blind when playing no limit. Make the slider EXACTLY like Stars and your traffic will increase 20 percent in one month. 2. The reason that I can't play even three tables on your site sometimes is because of the slider. Addtionally it's because you don't allow more than five windows to be open at a time. This is very frustrating to get a warning message saying "Please close a window". Please get rid of this completely. Also, just allow people to play 1-12 tables like Pokerstars does. Not saying you have to allow 12 tables but 8 would be a really substantial improvment. I personally wouldn't play 8 tables but I might play 6. This can only help the number of active tables open. The more active tables you have open the more people will want to play on your site because of games. Once you reach a certain amount of player volume the momentum is unstoppable. 3. Forget marketing. The concept sells it self. If you get good enough this forum will do all the marketing for you. The number one thing you should do is hire programmers and web designers. Improve your sportsbook for the volume of customers that the pokerroom brings in down the road. Just build the crap out of the software and make it the best it can possibly be. 4. As poker players it hurts us a lot to see your site because a rakefree site is our dream. We all want to see you succeed so bad but yet the software can't support the player base because it is inconvienent to use. 5. Do NOT support the use of PokerTracker etc. Rake free is ENOUGH. I personally would hate to see the greed of certain people cause you to improve something that should be on the bottom of the list of things that need improvment. To Recap 1. Slider 2. No warning message for too many open tables 3. Increase number of playable tables If you do these three things people will literally pour into WPEX. That's ALL you really have to focus on. Well obviously making the tables resizable would be very helpful. Also when it's your turn to play a hand on a different table have that table pop up. I hate to beat it into the ground but this is the stuff that PokerStars does exactly right. These are things that they had from the very beginning and haven't really changed much. These are all things that once you do them once you don't have to do them again and it isn't going to cost you a ton of money to do them. |
