FWIW if I could get Poker Stars on this thing I would take it traveling with me instead of a laptop.

I'm guessing you would need a pretty elaborate hack though.....

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah they run ARM processors AFAIK, so you'd have to have an x86 emulator, which would never run fast enough. although if pokerstars releases a java client then you might be able to hack something up.

I'm pissed they don't have a HDD touch... that is seriously weak.

Also stay tuned for a software only unlock for the iphone

What does this mean?

[/ QUOTE ]

It means that (apparently) within 24-72 hours (estimated) you'll be able to hook up your iphone to a computer (theoretically) and unlock it (maybe) so that it will work with any SIM card (hopefully).

IOW, if it works then you can use it on tmobile, or any other carrier that has GSM SIM cards out of the US.

Sorry, Verizon & Sprint are a no-go.

currently, I don't think buying the big touch makes any sense, just buy an iphone.

[/ QUOTE ]
People outside the US still can't buy an iphone.

Check the prices on SSHDs bigger than 16GD, they are really expensive still. HD take up too much juice to run with the touch interface, battery life would be a sad joke.

Hmm, you want to price that out a little more Guids? Dell doesn't appear to have the Axim in stock and the ones I saw on Ebay were around 250. I couldn't find a 32G compact flash card, but did see an 8G Sansdisk one for another 100. There was a 64G memory stick for 5k, but that wasn't compact flash. The GPS adapter for the Axim Dell had was 180. On top of that it the 51V got poor reviews for battery life and runs a Windows OS which some people find objectionable. I know you don't like Apple, but two year old discontinued technology and unobtainable memory cards seems like a stretch.
