BBV I need your help

My 6month old kitten is stuck in a pretty big tree (about 25-30 feet big). Hes too chickenshit to get out, and these bastards are cirkling around the tree trying to attack him or something, because a nest is in the tree:

So i allready shot down 2 of those bastards (1 flew away with damaged wing lol). Should i just let him stay in the tree untill his hunger is stronger then his fear?
