What are you afraid of? Bet $2 on the flop, bet $4 on the turn.River check is fine.

Bet $2 on the turn.
If he's ready to call you with A-trash, fine, you have a excellent hand : high kicker + straight draw.
If the A scares him, you wouldn't have made much more money anyway.

Pot the flop (you have good draw, calling station player, and flush draw--you want your hand to be believable later).

Pot the turn, you have TPGK, with straight draw, and still calling station.

Check or value bet the river. I tend to like value betting river, especially if they fold to rivers alot, since you wont showdown.

i like hero's line apart from i'd bet $1.5 on flop as a standard cbet and as played i'd like to chuck out $2 on river as a value bet.

checking the turn is fine

Grunch,

Pot flop, 3/4-pot on turn and check behind on river. As played to the river, I would bet 3 for value.

I would bet the turn for value. He will call with Jx/7x occassionally, sometimes TP, etc. I would throw a small value bet on the river.
