Re: 54s vs. Reg
[ QUOTE ]
I don't fold this - you know you have a flush, right? am I getting leveled? [/ QUOTE ] You know you're getting check/raised on the river with the lowest flush possible after betting and raising all previous streets on a paired board by a reasonable villain, right? |

Re: 54s vs. Reg
i'd call, you only need to be good ~1/4.5 and a guy with fishy stats like this will show up with garbage more than that i think.

Re: 54s vs. Reg
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I hate folding to river check-raises. I mean, wtf could he have here? Q9? Any other boat and he surely would have raised earlier. Waiting until the river to raise a better flush seems bizarre. He could be deciding it's time to turn 66 into a bluff, or hit his J8 and doesn't think you have a flush, or 87 whiffed. Not to mention that you only need to be good 1 in 4.5 times. Given his weak flop lead and the fact that his hand doesn't look like a flush, I like J8 and 87 a lot. [/ QUOTE ] Hero has played his hand really strong. Can't see how this is a bluff or an overplayed straight on a paired/flushed board 22%. [/ QUOTE ] Hero played it like an overpair. [/ QUOTE ] Hero also played it like any boat and flush. Tons of combos. AA/KK are 12. Can't see how he's check/raising worse for value. |

Re: 54s vs. Reg
[ QUOTE ]
Hero has played his hand really strong. Can't see how this is a bluff or an overplayed straight on a paired/flushed board 22%. [/ QUOTE ] I dunno man, I feel like it's tough to put someone on a higher flush or boat here 78% of the time. That's fairly frequent for a small combination of hands that don't really make sense the way villain played his hand out. It's not enough to say "we played our hand really strongly and he still wants to raise;" what is he raising with, then? |

Re: 54s vs. Reg
Since there are only 2 hands that make sense that beat you (Q9 and T9), and TONS of other hands that you beat I would call.

Re: 54s vs. Reg
I think this hand comes down to the read of the opponent. The better he plays (and by better I mean less moronic) the more often we are dead here.
