I have to say, I think the coolest result of this whole thing would be for the next season to start with Kate and Jack off the island living their new lives, but for most of the Losties to still be stuck/imprisoned somehow until Jack can return to save them.

Not that that's even remotely likely at this point, but I want the whole flash-forward thing that's the cliffhanger from Season 3 into Season 4 to be more than just some alternate reality that's not going to happen. It has to be meaningful, and ideally, it should be somehow a result of Jack's phone call getting him off the island.

That would make Kate kinda of a bitch for not wanting to go back. I don't think the writers would let that happen. But I do think Jack has to have a really good reason for his life turing to [censored].

You mean rescued again. Even then apparently they have to do what ever has to be done, or Jack does, on the island before leaving. That and the producers have always said Lost has some crazy dramatic ending to the series.

Also, unless the newspaper clipping is supposed to be about a new character we know nothing of yet, they might have just put in a random name because they figured people would be examining it in all sorts of crazy detail. But if they dont cater to that, and the name is what it is, sounds like its a character we know nothing of yet. Its not locke. I doubt its Ben, unless he was somehow pulled off the island. Ben makes more sense than Locke, but its probably neither, which makes the most sense.
