Default A Canterbury 15/30 hand vs. \"Manson Lamps\"

Previous to this session "Manson Lamps" had smugly informed me (after hitting a 23-1 shot) that he "usually takes my money". Maybe so-- but here was my chance to get it back...

9 handed-- I'm in mid position with 7-7 when "M.L" raises UTG,I 3-bet and everyone folds to the SB, who 4-bets and only has two chips left. M.L and I both call.

Flop:

Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Sb throws his 2 chips in, M.L calls, I raise and M.L calls

Turn:
5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

M.L checks,I check

River:
7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Suddenly Manson Lamps comes out firing-- I...?

I should add that Manson Lamps likes to slowplay his hands for what he thinks is maximum value.

QQ is the only hand you have to worry about then. he could have AA or KK then. i can see why you checked the turn but i think you have to raise the river

OP --

Against many opponents who act toward me the way ML seems to act toward you, folding is better than calling preflop.

And against many of those guys I'll just call the flop--it partially depends whether "two chips" and "raising" is from 10 to 20, from 10 to 30, or something else. This is a nonstandard play and loses you a little money vs. a standard player on paper, but so many of these types will either (a) bet the turn with hands worse than mine and make it obvious they're doing so or (b) emit tells that let me know my hand is no good on the turn. So I end up getting $80 in good or $0 in bad way way more than I "should." (And these guys never fold the flop to me so I'm only losing a fraction of a bet, not the pot, with this play.) One should note that there's a sidepot involved here, and this play works better without one (as more will be in turn autobet mode), but I think I'd still try it against the guys I have in mind.

Turn is a definite bet. Your hand is good too often.

River is a raise for the same reason. You can often fold to a 3bet.
