what are you repping?

I think OP's line looks a lot like an A going for value FWIW.

how many aces are in your range that you aren't reraising preflop here in a bvb?

also your line will get looked up surprisingly light due to the bet size, regardless of what you have repped imo. I honestly think you only fold out complete air, as any legitimate hand he is 2 barreling with is obv snap calling this river with that bet size.

i could have any suited ace basically, ur right AJ+ i d 3bet
ATs+ also, but smaller suited aces i call here often, as well as pockets.

so we argue about whether to raise/call a push on the turn, and bet river stronger?
i really think id cb most aces here, or valuebet smallish, so i took the same line

an ace basically or a set

if you have a set and you played it this way, its not going to get an ace tofold a lot.

problem is... he's also repped an ace by double barreling.

even lesser h ands may call you by the river.

terrible, with the money you spent on the river.. you might as well have turned raised.

3-bet preflop if you want to make a "move".

i agree w/ raising the turn, and i like the play a lot. the problem with calling the turn is you are pretty much committed to betting a non-spade river to turn a profit, and you wouldn't bet the river w/ less than two pair, which usually raise the turn. so essentially you are repping a rivered two pair the majority of the time rather than a plethora of two pair that are possible on the turn.

saying you'd vbet a9 on this river is so awful/ridiculous. really??? you'd value bet some crappy ace expecting a call from what? qq-kk precisely? and yes stronger aces are generally not in your range here which is why this is even more bad.

i also agree w/ poor betsizing... if ur repping a big hand bet big. your range doesn't have many mediumish value hands, plus you open up yourself to being c/r bluffed with this betsize.

"3-bet preflop if you want to make a "move"."

this is ridiculous. you have position and a good hand, use it.
