Backstory: Three years ago I was living in Boulder, Co get pulled over with no proof of up to date insurance, miss my court date b/c I was in Spain with soccer team and couldn't reschedule. Result: a warrant for my arrest and $250 bond, I am unaware of this.

[/ QUOTE ]
So you knew you had a court date, you knew you didn't go, and you figured that was the end of it? Or you threw away the ticket and then just forgot about it? Short of head-collision-induced amnesia, I just don't get it. What did you think would happen?

Good TR though.

I think that's what everyone thinks.. you wouldn't believe how many people get arrested for failure to appear.

Partially. I sent in my payment for the fine along with a copy of the up to date insurance and a note explaining the circumstance as was recommended by receptionist at Broomfield police department said. I never heard back from them, and did not follow up myself.

I'm assuming this was after you missed your court appearance? If you aren't in court at that time, the judge just says issue warrant right then. Last time I was in court judge issued 7 in a row for failure to appear.
