Gehrig,

How do you get databases of so many hands played by these players 1 on 1, if you're not the one playing them?

[/ QUOTE ]

datamining FTW

So, you may not be a cheating bot, however, you are a cheating dataminer.

Show how datamining is cheating...thanks.

edit: this reason:

[ QUOTE ]
you have a big edge against the random guy who plays heads up

[/ QUOTE ]

is bs. All you have to do is dish out $50 for PT and open FT tables to datamine. Anyone that can't do that is well...

I didn't know you could do that. I only play at Pokerstars where it isn't possible. I kinda figured playing at a site owned by Pros would turn out to be a losing proposition. Turns out my intuition was right.

Kinda like Unger placing sports bets against Brunson, when Brunson had access to the computer software and ol' Stuey didn't even know it existed.
Pros will [censored] their mother for a few 100k.

It's easily possible. I believe the software to do it is $25 and Stars doesn't enforce their anti-datamining rules. Even if they did, they'd be easily circumvented. Anti-datamining efforts are just a waste of time. They have the opposite effect then intended. They just make the group of people that have the advantage more selective. Even if you effectively enforce rules against datamined software, players will simply share HH's. This happened within hours of Party's failed attempt to end datamining last year.

Good, don't play there. Bye.

Yeah its terrible how some players are better than others. I think everyone who has studied poker theory, math, psychology, is wealthy, Asian (gambool), or under 25 should have to play at specially designated "no edge" tables so that poker is fair for everyone.

fwiw, i've been having a pretty tough time lately getting anybody to play me at a HU table, even players that i'm pretty sure i've never played or have had limited experience against. possibly due to datamining?

No one will play me HU either. I think this is partially due to datamining, but also because they see me playing the tables all the time so presume I am solid. Fwiw I've seen you around a fair bit recently and you seem to be a good player at worst, so my default would be just to avoid you -- I've barely played with you and dont have any datamining.

Do you really want to play them? I mean no matter how good you are you're unlikely to have that large an advantage over someone that has enough hands on you and enough knowledge to know they don't want to play you.
