Although unlikely, you are right this is something to think about. However, unless you have shown a propensity to make utterly hopeless river bluffs in huge pots he has a super easy fold to your river donk and therefore you don't lose much value.

I would bet, but the last million times I have tried to check raise someone on the river when I get there with a blanky card they have made mindfuckingly awful check behinds with a really strong hand that is good like 99.9999999999999999999% of the time against me.
