[ QUOTE ] Perez/Bell for Linebrink seems to be official. Awesome job by Omar. Lose Dirty for the year and don't skip a beat. [/ QUOTE ] But couldn't he have arranged that same deal without losing Nady? With Linebrink, I don't think there was enough of a need for Hernandez to trade Nady. [/ QUOTE ] Mets won't lose anything with Endy/Milledge in RF. Linebrink takes Duaner's spot, and Roberto Hernandez is insurance/6th reliever. I like these deals. |

[censored] just what the cubs need another POS no hit middle infielder. [censored] me. [/ QUOTE ] Pretty obvious Jim Hendry is collecting these guys for when the world is taken over by aliens who use POS middle infielders that nobody wants as currency. It's the only logical explanation. |

[/ QUOTE ] What I was suggesting was that maybe they could have got Perez alone for less than Nady. |

Mets won't lose anything with Endy/Milledge in RF. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not sure about this, especially in the long-term. I guess I liked Nady more than most here. I saw a lot of upside to his game, considering his relative youth. He seemed like a nice, solid overall player who had not reached his peak. I know outfielders are pretty easy to get, but I really liked his age. Might the production off the bench be a little worse now? |
