Default Couple days back at NL FR

Been spending most of my time grinding 6 max LHE aiming for SNE. Took a couple days this week to brush up on NL/PL FR and was shocked at rampant short-stacking as compared to 3 or 4 months ago. Did not adjust my play adequately, soon enough, and paid those losers off way too often.

Noticed a detailed post about how to deal with short stacks about a week that was very good. But I am more wondering why such a dramatic increase now (100 and 200)? Where are these players coming from and why are they shorting?

I think I can adjust well enough to deal with it, but it really ruins the game. It is not even poker if you get more than two of them at your table with a couple on your left. It is like playing a tournament at bubble time, not a cash poker game. Any chance Stars would offer tables with higher minimum buys? Or has that ship sailed?
