[ QUOTE ] on a serious not, anyone raise the turn to represent the flush? [/ QUOTE ]Why would we want to represent the flush? [/ QUOTE ] to fold worse hands and get better hands to call? honestly, this guy has the flush right? what's the big deal. he semibluffed into a limped pot, hit his 9 outers, and is taking you to value town. online, a semibluff might rarely be a full pot sized bet, but live, that's 2 chips. 2 chips is nothing, people will call 2 chips w/ ATC. 2 chips is a blocking bet. it's rare (in my experience) at 1/2 that any flop bet is 2 chips. it's usually at least 15 into a 10 dollar pot. do you agree? this has been my experience at 1/2 1/3 and 2/5 live. |

Re: Live $1/$2 NL: Bottom Set v. Aggressive Betting
[ QUOTE ]
on a serious note, anyone raise the turn to represent the flush? [/ QUOTE ] This is a good move if you had AQ, KK, AA (no club) as you can then check behind on the river. It saves you money when you're beat, increases the pot when you're ahead, charges him more when he's drawing (to nut flush), and makes it hard for him to bluff you off your hand. However, with AcQx, KcKx, AcAx, and any set, you're betting off just calling and hoping to improve by the river otherwise if you're re-raised it can get expensive for you. |
