I do not put this guy on a 9. He c/c the flop, and checked the turn with 2 flush draws.

Am I a calling station?

I don't think a nine is out of his range people are bad. I think you are rarely ahead here, less than 40% of the time. I also see AK, KQ here.

most of the solutions to these hands depend on what is going on at the table and reads you have at the table. you say you don't have any reads on the player, cool.

people float out of position. people miss flush draws.

you have to decide if a call is going to be profitable or not wrt to the above and also wrt calling him with a better hand and having him tilted for the rest of the session..

Because you either have a K or will fold. Even unknowns know you never have a 9 there. However, I agree that often he would bet smaller.

You're an unknown to him too so he knows nothing about your valuebetting/extra barreling range so he thinks the times you call with K10, KJ are > times you bet the scare card.

Why would he overbet with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] when 20 would do the same for cheaper?

Basically this comes down to I think overbet=strength and you think overbet=weakness.

fold. he knows the king is in your range, and he's actually banking on it, which is why he shoved.
