Default 2 Main Event 2 Pair Hands

Hi,

Both opponents I would describe as "old guys" meaning that they play fairly passive and moderately loose but are not fish per se. You've seen the type.

Hand 1: J9dd 2 limps I limp MPish blinds play 5 way action. 50/100 blinds eff. stacks are 20k.

Flop Qd 9h 4c 2 checks first limper bets 400 I call HU to turn. Jh on turn he checks and I bet 800. He raises to 3k straight. ??????????

Hand 2: KQo 50/100 blinds 17k effective.

I open for 300 from MP1 and the SB calls. HU to a flop of KQ3 all spades. He check calls 500. Turn Td He checks I bet 1200 he makes it 4000 on top. ???????????????

I definitely fold the second hand. First hand is much closer but with such deep stacks I would call on the turn and re-eval on river.

reasoning: second hand is almost always how a flush is played. in the top hand, you are almost always drawing live, plus there is a very good chance your hand is good (his line makes no sense, bet flop, c/r turn). I call and re-eval based on the river card and action.

What are you hoping he does? He ALWAYS has you beat here and he's never folding. Just muck it.

Both are pretty straight-forward folds. Those lines are so [censored] scary.

I want one of those latex masks like in mission impossible so I can look like an old man. I'd never lose a pot.

It sucks but you have to fold both times.
