live game win rates and variance
I played a lot of online in the past and have started playing live since the games are much better mostly at commerce. How much can a good player expect to win in big bets per hour at say the 9/18 game at commerce, and how many hours of play does it take for that win rate to come though. Online the hands are much faster and I could play several table at once, but live I may play 80 hours and come up even. I'm guessing this is not a big deal, but I would just like to know what I should expect. It just seems like ther are more losing sessions maybe this is because there are less hands being played and one or two bad beats will really ruin a session when you are only playing for 5 hours or so.

There is no variance in live poker if you play good and your opponents suck.

[/ QUOTE ] this quality of thinking suggests that the answers for both of these questions as they relate to you may be less than 0. |
